He has Luke fly-fishing, painting a landscape, flying an airplane, catching fireflies and playing rodeo games. If Luke agrees to spend a week in Utopia, Johnny promises to restore the lad’s game.įew of Johnny’s lessons involve golf. Luke is rescued by cowboy sage Johnny Crawford (Robert Duvall), a former golfer who left the tour for the bucolic paradise, where he owns a golf course and several other businesses. Embarrassed on national television, he takes off in his car drives aimlessly and, in the hamlet of Utopia, Texas, crashes through a fence. Young, coiled pro golfer Luke Chisholm (Lucas Black) loses his cool big-time on the last hole of his first tournament, much to the chagrin of his father-mentor-caddie. Why run out to a theater for this much calm when you can stay home with a mug of cocoa? A G-rated movie titled Seven Days in Utopia seems to promise a lot of calm. ![]()
